This fix only applies to the released GeoModeller 4.0.5 version.

The 2d cross section viewer in GeoModeller 4.0.5 is known to be affected by performance issue.

The temporary workaround is to add the following line to the geomodeller.ini file in the bin directory of your GeoModeller install that is usually located at C:\GeoModeller\GeoModeller4.0.5_x64_xxxxxxxxxxxx\bin

‘-Dsun.font.layoutengine=icu’

The unwanted behavior is expected to be fixed in patch 4.0.6.
